GALESBURG - Ralph L. Foulk Sr., 92, of Galesburg, formerly of Laura, died at 12:23 AM, Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 23 at the Williamsfield United Methodist Church. Pastor Jennifer Seder will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Williamsfield Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Williamsfield Ambulance or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Rux Funeral Home in Williamsfield is in charge of arrangements.
He was born November 3, 1920 in Glasford, IL, the son of Lester and Alta (Frampton) Foulk. He married Faye E. Ford on October 11, 1941 in Palmyra, MO. She survives, as do a daughter-in-law, Norma Foulk of Elmwood, a sister, Edna Ford of Smithfield, IL, two granddaughters, Trisha Foulk of Elmwood and Katrina (Wilbur) Schierer of Williamsfield and his late son Danny’s best friend, Alice Likes of Williamsfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Leslie, Russell, Eldon and Donald, three sisters, Evelyn, Julia and Daisy and two sons, Ralph Jr. and Danny.
Ralph graduated from Cuba High School in 1938. He farmed in the Laura and Williamsfield area from 1955 until his retirement in 1999. He and his wife moved to Galesburg in 2008.
